Chinggis Warriors take down The Huns
The Asia MRQ for the BLAST.tv Austin 2025 Major has kicked off with The Huns taking on Chinggis Warriors in the opening round. On the other side of the bracket we have Indian representatives Gods Reign waiting to start their MRQ campaign against Eruption.
The Huns got off to a solid start on the T-side on their pick Inferno but Chinggis Warriors slowly caught up and countered The Huns' T-side to bring the half back 6-6 with no advantage on either side. Chinggis Warriors rode the momentum, putting up five rounds in a row to start the second half, sprinting to 11-6 in the process.
The Huns managed to secure just a single round in the second half as Chinggis Warriors closed out Inferno 13-7. The next map took us to Ancient which was picked by Chinggis Warriors. A chaotic pistol round went in favor of Chinggis Warriors off of controlez's glock double kill, using which Chinggis Warriors got off to a 3-0 start on the T-side.
yAmi and nin9 stepped up towards the end of the first half, taking away Chinggis Warriors' lead and fetching a 7-5 half in favor of The Huns. The Huns nearly got the pistol round in the second half but yAmi landed four frags with the glock in a 1v5, securing the pistol for Chinggis Warriors. The Huns stole the anti-eco and put up double figures at 10-6.
Once Chinggis Warriors got their economy going on the CT-side, controlez dropped multi-frag sequences round after round, complimented by cool4st's AWP to tie things up at 11-11 putting The Huns' economy on the line. The Huns forced up, making it a do or die round but ROUX and Efire mowed down the mid play, leaving The Huns to defend match point with a few galils and a mac-10.
The Huns got the bomb down quickly leaving Chinggis Warriors with a man disadvantage in the retake but controlez stepped up again, dropping a double kill as Chinggis Warriors closed out Ancient 13-11 to wrap the series 2-0 and book an upper-final slot at the Asian MRQ. The Huns head down to the lower-bracket where they face Gods Reign or Eruption.
