Gods Reign blown away by Eruption in Austin Major 2025 Asia MRQ campaign opener
Gods Reign's BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 Asia Regional Qualifier campaign got off to the worst start as the Indian team, playing with their former coach PokemoN as a stand-in, were brushed aside with ease by Eruption in their opening game in the upper bracket semi-final, going down 0-2.
Gods Reign's pick of Ancient saw Eruption shut down a B hit to start with the opening pistol but a double PokemoN opener on the A site saw Gods Reign answer back with the force with Gods Reign's Pakistani stand-in coming in with a massive quad-kill. That one round was all that the Indian team could manage on their T side as Eruption ran away with the CT half, putting up a stellar defence to go 10-2 up with f1redup's AWP helping Gods Reign put up their second round, right at the very end of the half.
After the second half pistol win, Gods Reign threatned to steal a force buy fury5k denied Ph1NNN a 1v1 retake on the A site which saw Eruption hold on in a 2v3 and go on to stomp Gods Reign 13-2 on the Indian team's map pick. PokemoN, Gods Reign's former coach and stand-in for this tournament, in place of the VAC banned R2B2, was the only one on Gods Reign's team to hit double digit kills as it was a abysmal performance from the Indian team on their map.
A f1redup triple saw Gods Reign pick up the T side pistol on Anubis and it was back-to-back triples from the Indian AWPer to give Gods Reign two in a row. It was all f1redup for the Indian team as a 1v1 clutch from the Indian AWPer saw Gods Reign pick up a third round on what was otherwise a lacklustre T side.
PokemoN gave Gods Reign a much needed start to the second half with a pistol win by contributing with a 3K. As a result, Gods Reign managed to close the difference to 6-8. However, once the buy rounds rolled in, it was a sk0r and NEUZ show, who combined for 18 kills to secure a flawless streak on their way to a 13-6 win.
