ESEA League moves to FACEIT

Season 46 set to begin in August

Over the past 15 years, the ESEA League has offered a platform for competitive players to hone their skills in a real team environment. Through 45 seasons, thousands of teams have competed, aiming to climb the divisions and reach the prestigious ESL Pro League. Many of today's top teams and players have emerged from this league.

The League, is making a big change by transitioning to the FACEIT platform. This move aims to provide players with a more trusted and balanced team league experience, enhanced by FACEIT's features. Season 46 registration is set to open in August, with the season starting in mid-August following IEM Cologne.

The decision to join forces with FACEIT was driven by community feedback and a desire to offer an improved team league experience. Leveraging FACEIT's anti-cheat system and platform features will address growing challenges and create a more trusted and enjoyable competition.

Additionally, a new ESEA League Pass subscription will grant access to Season 46 and other ESEA competition content on the FACEIT platform. To maximize the value of the new ESEA League Pass subscription, participants can compete in the Pre-Season Circuit throughout July. With uncertainties around the new game's impact, in the event Counter-Strike 2 becomes playable, the transition will be facilitated by FACEIT's existing integration and tested by professional players in the CS2 10 Mans Hub.

By proceeding with Season 46 planning, ESEA aims to avoid indefinite postponements caused by the Counter-Strike 2 release. This decision ensures that thousands of teams can continue playing, fulfilling contracts, and maintaining financial support without unnecessary delays.

The ESEA League and FACEIT collaboration marks an exciting new chapter for the Counter-Strike community, welcoming both new and returning players for Season 46 on the FACEIT platform.
