CS2 update sees two maps replace Mirage
Valve has given Counter-Strike 2(CS2)'s limited beta test an update, which sees two new maps replace Mirage along with a host of other changes.
The main updates are the new Casual game mode being added while Nuke joins the Deathmatch, Casual and Competitive game modes and Office joins the Casual and Deathmatch game modes. Nuke and Office have replaced Mirage, which was the second map to be introduced, after the limited beta test kicked things off with Dust II.
Amongst the other updates are, movement fixes, which sees Valve fix 'cases of unintended slow crouch/uncrouch' and makes bunny hopping similar to what it was on CS:GO on 128 tick. Updates have also been made for animation, which lets players inspect grenades and also improves healthshot animations and the inspection behaviour for some weapons. Updates have also been made for certain shooting issues and audio bugs and new music cues have also been added.
The full list of the updates for the latest patch can be found here.
This is the second major update Valve has given CS2, after the update which was released earlier in June 2023.
