THE DRAFT Format Explained

BLAST have released an explainer for THE DRAFT's Tournament Format

BLAST have released a video explaining the tournament format for the upcoming THE DRAFT. The event, created in partnership with the SEA organizer NODWIN Gaming, will see 128+ teams from India and Pakistan participating across the 3 stages in a battle for the lion's share of $50,000 and to prove which country can come out on top.

The event will kick off with 64 team open qualifiers in both countries in late January. Registrations for this first stage are open and the qualifier will go underway soon. After a long open qualifier stage, The top 2 teams from the Indian qualifier will join the 4 Invited pro teams in the online group stage, meanwhile the Pakistan qualifier will see the top 5 teams join the 1 invited squad in the group stage.

Both region's group stages will qualify the top 3 teams to the Super 6 after a gruelling series of round robin matches.

The Super 6 will be drafted CS Legends to join their team to compete alongside in the LAN Finals at Malaysia. The event will culminate with a Double Elimination bracket that will decide the first ever champion of THE DRAFT.
