Heroic halts NAVI's strong start to the tournament

The Danes dominate the new international lineup on Mirage and Inferno

In the Group B upper bracket Final, the number one team in the world, Heroic, faced off against a promising NAVI lineup in a highly anticipated matchup. The excitement further escalated as the two teams decided upon Mirage, Inferno, and Overpass to be played in the thrilling encounter.

b1t kickstarted NAVI's performance with two crucial frags that helped NAVI win the pistol round. However Heroic managed to strike right back in the following round with a force-buy victory, gaining momentum and subsequently taking their lead to 4-1. It was now NAVI’s turn to turn the tides in their favor with a force buy win of their own, made possible by b1t’s 2k with the hand cannon. Following NAVI's impressive rally of four consecutive rounds, Heroic regrouped and seized control, with cadiaN doing most of the heavy lifting with his AWP. The Danes came forth in 5 out of the last 6 rounds to close the half with a 9-6 advantage.

The second half saw a flying start from Heroic, with some fast-paced attacks that NAVI couldn’t respond to in time. Although NAVI managed to secure two consecutive rounds, cadiaN remained relentless, refusing to let NAVI gain any more ground. He took his personal tally from 14 kills in the first half to a total of 25 kills as the map ended. His stellar 1.69 rating on the map helped Heroic notch NAVI's pick of Mirage with a 16-9 score.

On Inferno, Navi started on the right foot by putting the first two rounds on the board. However, Heroic quickly gained momentum when stavn's heroic AK play resulted in a remarkable 3k, getting them a necessary win in a desperate buy. From that point on, Heroic showcased an unstoppable performance, winning round after round. cadiaN was not only calling a great game, leaving NAVI puzzled until the last second, but he was also pulling his weight as a clutcher. In the 9th round of play, he pulled off an incredibly improbable 1v3, securing the last two kills with just 10 HP remaining. While NAVI managed to pull back a couple rounds, courtesy of multi-kills from s1mple and Aleksib, the half ended with Heroic putting up 11 rounds on the T-side.

In the uphill battle for NAVI, cadiaN once again emerged as the tormentor, shattering NAVI's hopes with a devastating 3K on the pistol round. Heroic successfully managed to convert the following rounds, inching closer to victory. While NAVI showed some resilience on their T-side by winning 6 more rounds, Heroic remained in control throughout the map, ultimately concluding with a 16-10 victory. While cadiaN had his impact felt by NAVI in crucial rounds, it was stavn who was the backbone of Heroic's dominance on Inferno. His 1.70 rating on the map was pivotal in thwarting NAVI's aggression. As for NAVI, despite the star-studded lineup of the new team failed to make their mark, it's not the end of the road for them. They will now face the BIG and Astralis in Consolidation Final on Tuesday.
