"They like to go for a lot of solo plays" - CycloneF on Gods Reign

7SEA Esports pulled off yet another win, this time over Gods Reign, winning out Anubis and Ancient. 7SEA Esports have now won 7 out of their 10 matches in the tournament so far. We got a chance to talk to CycloneF from 7SEA Esports after the match and here's what he had to say.

What was your game plan coming into Anubis?

"We didn't watch a lot of our opponent's gameplay coming into the map, we did what we had practiced and we have scrimmed a lot in Anubis. We knew they (Gods Reign) weren't that good in Anubis. Based on our previous results we were very confident that we'd close out Anubis against them."

A few sketchy stacks towards the end cost you Mirage, can you talk about that?

"I think looking at how they were playing, we played properly, we had a good counter-strategies but they changed their strategies at the last moment and after that we really could not understand what they were doing and it cost us two crucial rounds. We came back till 12-12, we got a good eco round which we should've converted but did not and they did not give us a chance after that."

A dominant second half on Ancient, can you talk about that?

"We're working on a few new strategies on Ancient, so our first half wasn't that great, that's how it usually goes down but on CT we were confident, because the way we were playing, things were going really well for us. We knew these people like to go for solo plays a lot and are not very good as a team and we strategized accordingly."
