Marcos Gaming eases past Random 5

CS GO Pro League 2023 Group Stage Day 2 underway

The first game of Day 2 of the CS GO Pro League 2023 Group Stages saw Marcos Gaming (MG) take on Random 5 (R5) with the best-of-one action kicking off on Inferno.

Marcos Gaming starting on the CT side picked up the pistol and went 3-0 up after converting the following two before R5 got two in a row to get on the board. After MG replied by shutting down back to back B hits, a Nasty and Thunder double helped R5 get their third round on the board to get the score to 6-3. DEFAULTER won out a 1v1 against morph to time on the B site which put MG on double digits and it was a strong 11-4 lead with Nasty coming in with a triple in the final round to give R5 some hope of staying in the game.

R5 took the pistol and went to convert the next two rounds before MG got their first gun round with a full buy. A crucial Rider triple helped MG secure the 13th against upgraded pistols, which got scary for a moment as they lost three players on the A site. A WolFy 1v2 saw R5 break MG's streak. A DEFAULTER MAC-10 entry on the B site against the pistols helped MG secure match point and they closed out the map at 16-8 with Rider topping the charts with 24 kills while ZEROCOOL was close behind with 23 kills.

The second game of the day will see recent Skyesports Masters champions Gods Reign return to the server since their triumph, as they take on Wasted Potential. The game can be viewed here live and is scheduled to start soon.
