DreamHack Hyderabad 2023 CS2 Qualifiers Day 1 Recap

The inaugural day of DreamHack Hyderabad 2023 CS2 Qualifiers India unfolded today with a total of 4 matches taking place. The qualifiers are slated to span across a total of three days, culminating on the 13th of October. Here is a brief recap of the action that took place today.

Kal aate hai vs Rog Academy (3-13)

The initial match unfolded on Vertigo, and it was a notably one-sided contest. Starting on the CT side, Rog Academy went to a slow start, while losing the first two rounds. However, once they got going, they went on an unstoppable winning streak, yielding only one round to their opponents and conquering the game 13-3.

Team Respect vs Dope Gaming (13-5)

The second map was another lopsided game that took place on Vertigo. Dope Gaming started their T-side on a high note by finding a 3-1 lead. While they managed to somehow find 5 rounds in the first half, their CT side crumbled against the high-pressure aggression of Team Respect, as they failed to notch a single round, giving way to a 13-5 win to Team Respect.

Griffins ES vs Old School Esports (5-13)

The third game of the day took us to Ancient, where Griffins ES locked horns against Old School Esports. Starting on the T-side, Griffin ES could only manage 3 rounds on their T-side, despite winning the pistol. On the other hand, Old School Esports solidified 4 rounds in only 6 rounds of play in the second half, sealing the game 13-5.

Wasted Potential vs Gunslingers (13-2)

The final game of the day took us to Nuke, where Wasted Potential played against Gunslingers. However, with lynX and HeadshotSpecial stepping up massively, Wasted Potential easily got past their opponents, winning the game by a one-sided score of 13-2.
