The Showman on the stage is a different beast

FaZe secure Grand Finals spot

FaZe keeps hopes of a 2018 repeat alive

After a blowout in the first semi-final, the second semi-final saw MOUZ and FaZe approach the stage, keeping in mind about the big stage nerves and the unpredictability of the new version of the game.

The series opener was FaZe's pick of Nuke with karrigan and co. starting with a healty 8-4 lead on the T side. It was a clinical CT side as FaZe picked up Nuke at 13-4 to draw first blood in the second semi-final.

With FaZe letting through Vertigo, MOUZ went with one of the more polarising maps in the current active duty pool as their pick. It was FaZe taking a 7-5 lead with a crucial Twistzz 1v4 turning the tide in FaZe's favour.

FaZe hung on, to see of a MOUZ comeback attempt to finish the map at 13-9 and booked their Grand Finals spot.

This will be the third time FaZe are in the Grand Finals in Sydney and have previously lifted the trophy in 2018. While karrigan and rain remain from that roster, Twistzz is also a previous winner, having won in 2019 with Liquid and the Canadian will be up against his former Liquid teammate EliGE in the Grand Finals, after Complexity ran through G2 earlier today.
