Indian teams go down fighting at the ESL Challenger Atlanta 2023 Asia Open Qualifier

Gods Reign nets two big wins

Eight Indian teams had registered for the c as they were looking to make it all the way through to the main event.

As the action kicked off, it was only seven Indian teams playing as Marcos Gaming pulled out of the qualifier at the last moment due to GhosTTT's unavailability.

Here's a quick look at how the Indian teams performed at the ESL Challenger Atlanta 2023 Asia Open Qualifier.

Wasted Potential

WastedPotential got a bye in the Round 1 matchup and were up against Nocturnal- in their Round 2 game. Nocturnal- took the win in the second round game as the WastedPotential boys couldn't connect on time.

Revenant Esports

Revenant, like most of the other Indian teams, started their campaign with a bye in Round 1 before going up against Cloud Crew in the second round game. Bhavi and co. took down Cloud Crew 13-10 on Ancient to advance to Round 3 where they faced The QUBE. This time on Anubis, it wasn't enough from the Indian team as they went down 6-13 which ended their campaign in the Open Qualifier.

plusW1

After getting a bye in their opening game, Ace's plusW1 took down 1plus4 on Anubis 13-8 but had to forfeit their game in round 3 as they were simultaneously taking part in the Esports Premier Series 2023 Qualifier 2.

2ez Gaming

After a bye and 13-10 win against Team RabaReturn, 2ez Gaming made it to round 3, where they were knocked out by Steel Helmet with a dominant 13-3 score-line.

Revenge Esports

After getting a bye in the opening game against RU AVenger, Revenge Esports were up against sk0r's The Huns in the Round 2 game. The BO1 on Ancient was clearly a mismatch as The Huns ran through Revenge Esports, taking an easy win at 13-2.

ROG Academy

ROG got a bye in the opening game and their round 2 game was against Ez Esport. The match on Inferno saw both teams come in with a tight first half at 6-6 but ROG fell just short in the second half as Ez Esport secured the map at 13-10.

Gods Reign

After getting a bye in their opening round game, Gods Reign eased past dqzs in the second round game on Ancient at 13-6. Team Anapolys were also blown away by Crazy_Gamer and co. as the captain himself, put in a stellar performance on Vertigo that saw them beat Anapolys 13-5.

In their Round 4 game against Hyper5CS, the battleground was Anubis and it was Hyper5CS edging out Gods Reign 13-9 to end Gods' run at the ESL Challenger Atlanta 2023 Asia Open Qualifier.
