s1mple set to make CS2 debut
After nearly six months from the release of Counter-Strike 2, Counter-Strike's legendary AWP, the ESL Player of the Decade, s1mple is all set to play his first official. Representing Falcons, the Ukrainian will make his debut against the Swedish team Metizport.
In mid February, Falcons announced s1mple's arrival, mentioning that he was loaned in from NAVI for a time period of one month. The Spring Showdown will see two teams qualifying through a single-elimination bracket to the Spring Final in June 2024.
Spirit is in the same bracket as that of NAVI and will open their tournament tomorrow. The community has expressed strong desire to witness a s1mple vs donk semi-finals, given that both teams win their initial couple of matches.
The Spring Showdown begins today with two single elimination Bo3 brackets and will end on 10th March 2024, with the winners of the two semi-finals advancing to the Spring Final in June.
