Falcons stunned in s1mple's CS2 debut
In one of the most sought-after games of the year, Falcons took on Metizport in their campaign opener at the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2024 with Falcon's new loan signing, s1mple making his CS2 debut against the Swedish team.
The series started on the Swede's pick of Mirage as after a 3-0 start from Metizport, Falcons got going to take a substantial 9-3 lead before moving to a 13-9 win to draw first blood in the series.
On their own pick of Overpass, Falcons failed to find footing as Metizport ran away to a comfortable 13-4 win to tie up the series. Vertigo, the series decider, saw the Swedes start with a 7-5 lead on their T side. Falcons but up a strong T side of their own but Metizport hung on for a 13-11 win, which saw them secure the series 2-1.
The loss knocks Falcons out from the Spring Showdown 2024 and it is was a disappointing start to his CS2 journey for s1mple, who ended with a 0.94 rating.
