Cloud9 sends Rare Atom home from the Spring Showdown
Rare Atom was up against Cloud9 in the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2024 opener with the BO3 Round of 16 game starting on the Chinese team's pick of Mirage.
BoombI4 powering up with the AWP and a strong showing from Ax1Le saw Cloud9 start strong on their CT side with nine rounds before wrapping things up at 13-5, barely breaking a sweat.
While Anubis saw Rare Atom go 8-4 up, it was Cloud9 who seemed like they would ease to a victory following a dominant T side before phzy kept Rare Atom in the game with multiple clutches. It seemed like the young Swede was pulling it to overtime but Cloud9 closed it at 13-11 to secure the series 2-0.
The loss for the Chinese team sends them home in last place from the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2024.
