FaZe hang on against Spirit
Even though the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024 had an absolutely stacked Playoffs brackets, the FaZe vs Spirit was still one of the most anticipated games in the Royal Arena with a red-hot Spirit going up against the experience of FaZe in the second quarter-final.
Mirage got the series underway with FaZe going 8-4 up on their CT side even after losing the pistol. A karrigan masterclass which saw the veteran Dane not only call a great map but step up individually saw FaZe steal Spirit's pick at 13-7 to draw first blood.
Spirit started Nuke with an 8-4 lead on the CT side but a strong comeback from FaZe saw the map go to overtime. Spirit hung on for a 19-16 win to take the series to a decider.
Vertigo was the decider with FaZe starting on the CT side and it was another map going to overtime as FaZe pipped Spirit 16-14 to take the series 2-1. FaZe will now take on Vitality in the semi-final.
