Indian teams start strong in M88 Open League's 2nd phase
Almost all Indian teams in the second division of M88 Open League's second phase have gotten off to a strong start, winning their opening games. Grayfox Esports did not show up for their opening match against Elocon Clan.
In the opening round, 2ez Gaming, ROG Academy and True Rippers have posted dominant 2-0 wins against dink dink, HXG Esports and Resilience. Teams are put into groups of four and Indian teams are spread across four such groups. Each team in the group plays 3 matches each and the top teams advance to the next phase.
In the second division, Revenge Esports have won their opening match 2-0 against SBKD and Respect start their second phase with a loss against SixSeven.
In phase 1's first division, True Rippers won just a single match out of their three and Grayfox Esports put up two wins. ROG Academy posted a dominant run winning three out of three games while 2ez Gaming could not secure a single win in the first division.
The second division saw Respect winning just a single game and team RAHUL10 put up a flawless 3-0 run. Revenge Esports conceded just a single match winning 2 out of 3 Bo3s.
The tournament will host a total of five phases containing four groups per division, with the winning teams ascending groups. The teams are seeded based on their combined elo. Top eight teams are invited to the seasonal finals, hosting two GSL groups followed by a double-elimination playoffs.
