FlyQuest get donk'd on
FlyQuest started their IEM Dallas 2024 campaign against one of the tournament favourites Spirit in the Group B upper bracket quarter-final. With 9z upsetting MOUZ earlier in the day, FlyQuest were looking to follow suit.
With Ancient being the battleground for the BO1 it was a clinical pistol from Spirit as they put up a solid defence to pick up the opening round. FlyQuest failed to get past the defences of donk and zont1x as they ran away to a 6-0 lead, shutting down both sites with ease. After seven straight rounds, it was a pistol rush on the B site from the Australians with Vexite denying sh1ro a 1v2 to get FlyQuest on the board.
That one round was all the Australians could manage as donk was at his usual best, which helped Spirit go 11-1 up. It was a formality after that as Spirit ran away to a 13-1 win. Spirit wrapped up the match in under 30 minutes and dropped FlyQuest to the Group B lower bracket and the Australians will now take on BIG next.
