THEMONGOLZ WIN MESA NOMADIC MASTERS SPRING 2024

TheMongolz hold their nerve in a lengthy Grand Final

After a week of action, the Grand Final of the MESA Nomadic Masters Spring 2024 saw home team and tournament favourites TheMongolz taking on BLEED, which was also a rematch of the Upper Bracket final game. While TheMongolz took down BLEED with ease in the previous encounter, hampus and co. were looking to set the score straight and take home their first CS2 LAN trophy, in a BO5 final.

BLEED started with a big 5-0 lead before TheMongolz answered back with three back-to-back rounds. BLEED though ended the half on a strong note with jkaem having a commanding half, with BLEED going 8-4 up. BLEED raced to six map points before TheMongolz finally put up a strong defensive hold at the 11th hour with the backs up against the wall. After threatening overtime, TheMongolz fell in the final hurdle as BLEED hung on for a 13-10 win.

It was another big start for BLEED on their CT side, this time on Mirage, going 5-0 up before TheMongolz tied up the score at 5-5. TheMongolz ended the half with seven straight rounds to take the lead. 910 with the AWP made sure TheMongolz weren't going down in two as they locked in Mirage at 13-10.

Ancient started the same way the other two maps begun, with BLEED starting 5-0 again before an aggressive mid push from TheMongolz saw Senzu knife nawwk to get themselves on the board. While BLEED took an 8-4 lead to start Ancient, it was an impressive T side from the home team themselves, locking in 9 T rounds to pip BLEED 13-11 to wrap up Ancient and go 2-1 up.

Inferno saw TheMongolz take a two-round lead on their T side but BLEED weren't giving up easily as they pushed TheMongolz to all rounds of regulation before the home team could hold on to another 13-11 win to lock in the series 3-1.

With the 3-1 series win, TheMongolz will not only take the Nomadic Masters Spring 2024 trophy but also a prize pool of $50,000 while BLEED will walk home with a prize money of $25,000. The Nomadic Masters Spring 2024 LAN win is also TheMongolz first international LAN tournament win, with the Asian powerhouses slowly showing the world what they're capable of.
