The MongolZ holds on against Sashi
Asia' best The MongolZ started their YaLLa Compass 2024 campaign in UAE in the Group A BO1 encounter against the Danes in Sashi. The veto saw Mirage as the battleground for the match with The MongolZ back in the server shortly after their LAN triumph at home at the MESA Nomadic Masters Spring 2024.
A quick A hit from The MongolZ saw them start with the T-sided pistol and ran away to a 4-0 lead before Lucky's AWP got the Danes on the board. It was the former Astralis AWP-er who single handedly kept Sashi in the half and they Danes eventually tied up the half. The MongolZ stole away the second pistol to get the second half underway but it was rounds being traded back and forth. The MongolZ hit match point first but a Cabbi triple in the final round of regulation on a low buy saw Sashi talk the game to overtime.
910's Tec-9 found match point for The MongolZ and the Asian team finally closed it out in overtime at 16-14 with Lucky's incredible heroics, as his 30 kills wasn't enough for Sashi. The MongolZ will take on ENCE later on today in another BO1 encounter.
