gla1ve: 'hades was putting up really good numbers, but lacked little bit of communication sometimes'
Following ENCE's dominant win over True Rippers, ENCE's in-game leader and four-time Major winner gla1ve had a short chat with Dust2 India about the team's progression, his two new signings and the significance of the tournament for ENCE.
You had a slow start to the tournament but now you have caught right back up. Can you talk us through the event till now for you guys?
We started out with a win for once, so that felt pretty good. Usually we are losing the first game of the tournament, but this time we won against BLEED. Then we lost two matches after that but we still managed to win the last two games, and managed to get out of the groups. And this was of course something we wanted, coming into this tournament. I think we beat the teams we should on paper. But we also lost to both Aurora and The MongolZ, who are probably a little bit better than us right now.
On some of the rounds of the CT side especially, we saw some gap in the communication. Is it because the lineup is still new?
Of course everything is new, we didn't have a lot of practice time. We had two weeks in total with this team I think, so we were still trying to add stuff to our playbook, understand each other better and make better decisions. So it will take some time to get into the comfortable zone where we always know what is going on and what we need to do.
You have recently acquired podi in place of hades. How different are the two in terms of playstyle?
hades was putting up really good numbers, but lacked little bit of communication sometimes I think. podi is really young and maybe he is more suitable. We can try to change him a bit more because he is so young, whereas hades was a full evolved player.
You have now made it to the Playoffs. How important is this for you guys to secure points for getting into the RMR?
This tournament is really important because we need some points to get directly into the RMR. This is ofcourse a big goal for us and I hope we can achieve it. Everybody knows that a Major is really important for everyone, and if you are at the RMR, you are on step closer than the one at the Qualifiers.
