A new way to present playstyles

HLTV Attributes up and running

The feature aims to better represent playstyles

In the live HLTV confirmed event at Cologne last week, the trio of the trio of SPUNJ, Professeur and Striker gave us a first look into an upcoming feature - HLTV Attributes which as professeur described was a way to figure out a lesser known player or team's playstyle.

The feature has officially hit the live build of HLTV's sites and is in action currently. HLTV Attributes uses the following parameters on a scale of 0-100 to determine and better represent a player's playstyle:

Firepower
Takes kills, multi-kills and damage into consideration to represent a player's raw output.

Entrying
Initial contact and first kills come into play while considering how many times the player was traded.

Trading
Usually highlights the second player entering a site. Takes into account trade attempts and successful trades.

Opening
Counts the occasions where a player has drawn first blood. Often compliments entrying but an aggressive can often score high in opening. A lurker might score high in opening but low in entrying.

Clutching
Based on how often a player is alive towards the end, their success rate in 1vXs make up most of this parameter.

Sniping
Directly based on AWP and Scout kills but with a hint of variety to mark secondary and hybrid snipers.

Utility
Comes down to damage churned out from nades along with flashbang usage and assists.

While these parameters give a good idea of the player's tendencies and playstyle the new feature however will not completely define the skill level of a player. The Attributes section has two main filters to view either the T or CT-sides separately or view stats in a per-round fashion or per 24 rounds. The per-24 rounds filter is made to roughly showcase how players perform through the length of one entire game.
