Indian slot Reinstated at eXTREMESLAND 2024
In their latest blog post, eXTREMESLAND have announced the ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND CS2 Asia Open 2024. The event is set to feature sixteen teams across various regions from Asia. The tournament was reintroduced last year after as an invitational but this year, the event is set to return to it's pre-COVID open format.
The new format is likely to include open qualifiers across various Asian regions. Indian Counter-Strike fans can rejoice, as ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND CS2 Asia Open 2024 reinstates India's slot in the event after six long years. Carrying a prize pool of $100,000 USD, the event will host sixteen teams with the following slot distribution scheme:

The team list will start taking shape in November, after the regional qualifiers are underway. The journey ends with a LAN grand-final in Shanghai in mid-January 2025, possibly making it one of the first high profile Counter-Strike LANs in 2025.
