Lynn Vision looking to avoid Last Chance Stage today; The MongolZ set to kick off EPL campaign
After an eventful opening day's action at the ESL Pro League Season 20, which saw a controversial HEROIC - NIP game with the former having a map win overturned for using Snap Tap and Sangal stunning ESL Pro League Season 17 champions FaZe, the second day's action will have both Asian representatives, Lynn Vision and The MongolZ in action today.
The MongolZ will be playing the earlier of the two games as they kick off their ESL Pro League S20 campaign against 3DMAX in their Group B upper bracket quarter-final. Not only do bLitz and co. have a chance to start with a win but also to set the score straight with the French after 3DMAX had recently defeated them in the Grand Final of the Skyesports Championship 2024.
The last game of the day will be the BO3 match between China's Lynn Vision and HEROIC in the Group A lower bracket round 1 game, with the loser of the game dropping straight to the Last Chance Stage. Lynn Vision had faced NAVI in their opening game and after threatnening to pull off an upset on their pick of Dust2, the Chinese team lost team on Ancient to go down 0-2. There's no room for error any more against a HEROIC squad look for redemption after losing to Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP) following a lot of controversy around TeSeS' usage of Snap Tap and it resulting in HEROIC's opening map win being overturned. While HEROIC are the favourites, if Lynn Vision can bring the fight they brought to NAVI on Dust2, we should be in for an interesting game.
