The MongolZ continues to impress in Shanghai
The MongolZ continued their unbeaten run in Shaghai as they took down MOUZ in a thrilling overtime affair on Mirage to head into the 2-0 bracket at the end of the opening day of the Elimination Stage at the Perfect World Shaghai Major 2024.
MOUZ kicked off the BO1 on Mirage with the defensive pistol and went 4-0 up before a team ace got The MongolZ on board. MOUZ could manage just one round more in the half as The MongolZ went on to take the lead at 7-5. The second half pistol win helped them increase their lead a couple of aggressive gun rounds saw them race to double digits. A couple of consecutive B hits brought MOUZ back into the game and they picked up the momentum and broke The MongolZ's economy, which led to the score being tied up at 10-10. A Jimpphat triple in a 2v3 on the B site saw MOUZ go on to take the lead. A Techno4k 1v2 kept The MongolZ in the map and they hung on to push it to overtime as bLitz led from the front.
A near-flawless run from Asia's best in overtime, led by 910's AWP saw them lock in a 16-13 win. The win also puts bLitz and co. in the 2-0 bracket and now are one BO3 win away from moving to the Playoffs stage.
