ATOX makes it back-to-back MESA Asia Series titles
ATOX won the MESA Asia Series 3, taking down compatriots Chinggis Warriors in the Grand Final and made it back-to-back MESA Asia Series titles, after having won the previous edition as well.
The Grand Final kicked off on Chinggis Warriors' pick of Anubis, which saw them team take a two round lead on their CT half before ATOX fought back on their defensive half. A neck-and-neck half went the distance which saw Chinggis Warriors hang on for a 13-11 win with controlez standing out with 27 kills and an ADR of 110.
ATOX kicked off their pick of Nuke in a commanding manner with a nine-round CT half before holding on against a Chinggis Warriors comeback attempt to secure a 13-9 win to tie up the series. Chinggis Warriors started the decider on Ancient with the lead, going four rounds clear on their T side before ATOX fought back late on their own T side to push the map to overtime. ATOX made sure to stick the comeback, picking up a 19-15 win in double overtime as dobu led from the front with 36 kills.
The win sees ATOX take home the MESA Asia Series 3 title and a prize money of $7500 while Chinggis Warriors walks away with a prize money of $2500. This is ATOX's second MESA Asia Series title after having won Series 2 as well.
