ropz in at #18 for HLTV's Top 20 Players of the Year 2024

ropz has been revealed as the third name on HLTV's Top 20 Players of the Year 2024 with the Estonian making the list at number 18 ahead of EliGE and torzsi. ropz had a rating of 1.10 in 2024 with an ADR of 75.9 and KAST of 74.3%.

The FaZe star, who is rumoured to be joining Vitality soon, had a mixed 2024, not living up to his potential which saw FaZe end 2024 with just one LAN trophy (IEM Chengdu 2024). ropz kicked the year off with a 1.07 rating at IEM Katowice 2024 where FaZe went down to Spirit in the Grand Final and followed it up with a 1.01 rating at the inaugural CS2 Major, the PGL Copenhagen Major 2024, where FaZe fell short once again, finishing runners-up to NAVI in the Grand Final. ropz had a strong performance in China, where FaZe won IEM Chengdu 2024, with the Estonian putting up a 1.10 rating. He followed that up with a 1.05 rating at ESL Pro League Season 19, a 1.01 rating at IEM Dallas 2024, 1.07 rating a BLAST Spring Final 2024 before putting in a 0.93 rating at the Esports World Cup 2024, which was his worst performance amongst the year's big LAN events.

ropz bounced back in Cologne with a 1.09 rating and had a stellar showing at ESL Pro League Season 20 with a 1.21 rating even though his team exited at the 13-16th place. At the BLAST Fall Final 2024 ropz put in a 1.13 rating and rounded out the year with a 1.17 rating at IEM Rio 2024, a 1.03 rating at the BLAST World Final 2024 and a EVP performance at the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 with a 1.21 rating, which almost got FaZe to another Major win, but they well short to Spirit this time in the Grand Final.

The 25-year old Estonian, who joined FaZe in January 2022 after four years with MOUZ, is reported to join Vitality in 2025, parting ways with karrigan and co. and the star rifler's 18th place in the HLTV Top 20 Players of Year 2024 list means it's his seventh appearance on the list and seventh-consecutive appearance, making the cut every year since 2018. For his bold prediction, ropz chose Spirit Academy's rising star kyousuke as one to look out for and one who will have a strong 2025.
