FISSURE unveils 2026 CS2 calendar

3 CS2 events on the cards

Serbian esports organizer FISSURE has announced their plans for Counter-Strike 2 in 2026. Through a blogpost, the org unveiled their 2026 CS2 calendar, showing three tier-1 events planned for 2026. The FISSURE PLAYGROUND LANs announced for 2025 will return in 2026 for their third, fourth and fifth iterations.

The dates for these events are as follows:

The inaugural FISSURE PLAYGROUND event will take place in July 2025. Carrying a prize pool of $1,000,000 USD, the event features 16 teams across four groups in the group stage. Each group plays a double-elimination bo3 GSL bracket with the top two teams advancing to the playoffs where a single-elimination bo3 bracket with a bo5 grand-final determines the winner. All teams are invited based on the Valve Regional Standings.

A second FISSURE PLAYGROUND event will take place in September of 2025 with 16 teams invited based on the VRS again but this time the teams battle it out in a Swiss System format with eight teams going through to the single-elimination playoffs. FISSURE PLAYGROUND #2 bumps up it's prize pool to $1,250,000 USD.

More details such as the format, teams, etc for the FISSURE PLAYGROUND events in 2026 have not been unveiled yet but is expected to follow suite from the previous iterations. We will return with more information on the same as and when confirmed or made public by the organizer.
