ATOX locks in quarter-final berth following dominating win over Nalakuvara
ATOX have booked the eight and final quarter-final spot at the eXTREMESLAND Asia Open 2024 following their win over Chinese team Nalakuvara, in the final Group stage game, which saw the Mongolian side put in a commanding performance after suffering an upset at the hands of JiJieHao earlier in the day.
The action kicked off on the Chinese team's pick of Inferno, which saw ATOX shut down attack after attack on each site, running away to a 9-0 start before L2ssssss and Zero held on in a nervy post plant situation on the A site to give Nalakuvara their first. One was all they could manage as ATOX dominated to a 13-1 win to get the series underway. No one from the Nalakuvara squad managed to cross double digit kills with ProKiller and L2ssssss finishing at the top with 8 kills only.
Toxic and Zero helped Nalakuvara start Nuke with the CT pistol and go 3-0 up after the conversions against the force and eco buys but once ATOX brought out the guns, it was one-way traffic. While Nalakuvara managed to win both pistols on Nuke, the Chinese team could manage a total of six rounds only as ATOX closed out the map, match and series with a 13-6 win to lock in a commanding 2-0 series win and become the final team to make it to the quarter-finals.
