clouden: "We had to come up with something else on the go so our performance was not up to our usual standards"
IHC came into eXTREMESLAND 2024 as one of the favourites to at least make the Playoffs, especially given their group, but following a strong start, where they brushed aside ONi, the Mongolian side went down to TYLOO, which has left them one BO3 loss away from elimination.
After their loss to TYLOO, IHC's clouden had a short chat with Dust2 India.
Towards the end of the first half, you guys seemed to be caught off guard at how quickly TYLOO were able to take sites with very little utility, what happened?
Even before the game we knew that TYLOO was a very strong team and our strategies had to be planned and practiced a lot to execute properly in the match. TYLOO picked up our strategies very quickly and countered it so we had to come up with something else on the go so our performance was not up to our usual standards.
After TYLOO got a lot of momentum, you guys put up a brilliant T-side, you yourself got a few crucial picks, what did you guys change up towards the end?
In the beginning we tried our best to read what TYLOO was trying to do and by the time we figured it out TYLOO had already changed their strategy. We just went back to our usual executes on the T-side and we knew that we’d put up an impressive showing with these executes. But yeah, unfortunate we couldn’t close it out.
You will face SemperFi in your next game, how do you feel about your chances in a Bo3 against them?
We don’t have a lot of experience playing Australian teams so we don’t know about their playstyle but we’ll definitely use all our training to take on the Australian side. We strongly believe in what we’ve practiced and we’re confident that it’ll work if we execute it properly.
