9INE stay alive in Brazy Party 2023
9INE beat Sprout 2-1 in their Brazy Party Group D decider match, which knocked Sprout out of the online tournament and saw the Polish team make it to their quarter-finals of the tournament.
9INE took on Sprout for the final playoffs spot and the series got underway on Sprout's pick of Ancient. It was 9INE who started on the CT side and took the first pistol of the series. 9INE had an early 5-1 lead but Sprout fought back to finish the half at 8-7. Sprout converted the second pistol to tie up the score early on in the second half. Sprout managed to convert the eco and force-buy to take the lead in the second half, going up 10-9. Sprout eventually managed to close out the map at 16-13 after trading a couple of rounds in the second half.
The second map was the Poles' pick of Vertigo with Sprout on the CT side. It was a runaway half from 9INE as they finished it 13-2 with hades and KEi destroying Sprout. 9INE didn't waste a lot of time to wrap up the map, as the closed it 16-6 and continued to highlight why they are probably one of the best Vertigo teams in the world.
The series decider got underway on Anubis with Sprout starting on the T side as they took the first pistol. It was on the back of hades' mastery with the sniper rifles that 9INE got back in the game. The Poles ended the half with a 9-6 lead as Goofy came in with a crucial 1v2 clutch to give 9INE the lead. 9INE converted the pistol in the second half to be the first to reach double digits. On one of the most T-sided maps in Counter-Strike right now, 9INE wrapped up the map 16-7 without much hassle as hades and Goofy ended the series with ratings of 1.44 and 1. 72 respectively.
9INE now will face Into the Breach in the quarter-final match up.
