CS:GO hit by piracy
Australian esports organisation Grayhound's founder, William Gray, has confirmed that his team's merchandise, which was being transported via sea was hijacked by pirates.
Gray confirmed the same during an interaction with a fan, during the recently concluded ESL Challenger Melbourne 2023, who had asked for an update regarding the Grayhound fan jerseys. Gray stated that the boat which had been carrying the team's jersey shipment was hijacked by pirates in the Caribbean waters.
According to the International Chamber of Commerce live piracy tracker, there have been seven reported attacks since April 16, 2023, the week Gray states the shipment was hijacked. Most of the piracy attacks in the region mentioned (the Caribbean) are those of hijacking private yachts, with the case of merchandise being a bizarre one.
