Liquid dominate NaVi to go 2-0
After the disaster that was the Challenger Stage, Liquid did a complete 180 to take down Natus Vincere (NaVi) at the BLAST.tv Major Paris. The team now sits just one win away from the Accor Arena.
Liquid started strong on the T side, with YEKINDAR securing a quick double kill to open up the B site and secure the pistol round. NaVi's inconsistent economy meant they couldn't fully equip themselves in the gun round, allowing Liquid to exploit the B defence and take a commanding 6-0 lead. The flawless attack from Liquid continued as they quickly extended their lead to 8 rounds. Although NaVi managed to answer back with a round of their own, they struggled to gain momentum.
The first half ended with Liquid dominating at 14-1, with YEKINDAR delivering an exceptional performance. In the second half, NaVi showed signs of life by winning the pistol round nearly flawlessly, bringing the score to 14-4. They managed to string together a few rounds, taking their score to 14-7.
However, once guns came out for Liquid in round 19, NaVi's entry into the B site was met with a 3v3 retake situation for Liquid. Despite NaVi's efforts, Liquid secured the round, putting themselves on match point. NaVi gradually built into the game, focusing their attacks on nitr0's position in the pit and securing 7 rounds.
But it was oSee's AWP that had the final say, ringing across the map and closing out the map with a score of 16-8 in favour of Liquid. The victory showcased Liquid's resurgence and puts them up 2-0 at the last CSGO Major.
