ENCE dominate FaZe to secure playoffs at Dallas
After ENCE edged out FaZe in the 3-0 matchup at Paris' Challengers stage, their rematch at IEM Dallas was expected to be another close affair. But FaZe's individuals never connected to the server, and ENCE annihilated the squad for an easy 2-0 victory.
The game started on Anubis, with FaZe's pistol win being immediately answered with an ENCE force buy. And Snappi's squad took the momentum, putting up 4 rounds in a row. A couple more went the way of FaZe before ENCE completely took over, putting up a massive 11-round total with SunPayus' AWP being dominant on the map. Another pistol round win netted FaZe 3 more on the board, but ENCE quickly closed the map out 16-7 as FaZe completely flopped in the gun rounds.
The second map started off in ENCE's favour as the team had 3 nearly flawless rounds. broky's AWP made round 4 interesting, but ENCE continued their march all the way to 8-0. A 1v2 from ropz gave FaZe a disconnected first win, but the half still went the way of ENCE with 11 on the board. A pistol round conversion for ENCE gave them 2 more on the board before FaZe's defence woke up with Deagles, pulling the game back to 13-7. ENCE's first timeout gave coach SAW a chance to chip in, and the changeup paid off as ENCE took 14.
FaZe's defence held strong as everyone stepped up to take 12. karrigan and Co. continued to give ENCE a taste of their own medicine, closing the gap up at 14-13. Finally, SunPayus stepped up to put sniper kills on the board with both the Scout and the AWP to finally get match point. The Israeli star NertZ took back to back entries to close the game out 2-0.
ENCE have secured playoffs at IEM Dallas and will play the group finals for a potential semi-finals berth. Meanwhile FaZe will now face Team Liquid in the lower bracket.
