Second CS2 Major might be held in China

While Counter-Strike 2 (CS2)'s release date is still unknown, sources have stated that the second Counter-Strike 2 Major will be held in Asia.

According to HLTV and Dust2 Brasil sources, the second CS2 Major will be held in Shanghai, China in December 2024. Tournament organiser Perfect World, who is the publisher of Counter-Strike in China, will be partnering with PGL to host the Shanghai Major 2024. PGL is also hosting the inaugural CS2 Major, which is set to be held in Copenhagen in March 2024.

According to the reports, the RMR qualifiers are planned between October 26, 2024 - November 13, 2024 and the Major will most likely get underway from December 1 and last till December 15, 2024.

If all goes to plan, it will become the first ever Major to be hosted in Asia. HLTV reports also suggest that amongst the locations for the second Major of 2023, Singapore and China were likely candidates but with CS2 all set to launch, Valve had removed the second Major of 2023.
