Fire5 stun FIREDUP Gaming
The penultimate quarterfinal of the Upthrust Esports Pro Showdown Season 2 saw FIREDUP Gaming take on Fire5 Esports. With the match set to take place on Mirage and FIREDUP starting on the CT side.
ChAmP's triple from Ticket saw FIREDUP Gaming win the opening pistol and were 2-0 up after taking the conversion against the eco from Fire5. An AJAY double opener helped Fire5 get on the board and A10N3BOY's double saw Fire5 tie up the game early on. Fire5 built an early 7-2 but FIREDUP managed to pull things back to a 7-8 half.
Do1nk's triple from Ticket saw Fire5 win the second pistol and they were 10-7 up in no time. A Do1nk double in a solo A hold and a triple from A10N3BOY saw Fire5 put up solid defensive holds on both sites as they were 13-8 up and inching closer towards the win. AJAY's smoke defuse in a 1v1 against ReApErMonsta saw them get to one round from match point. FIREDUP pulled back a couple of rounds but a AJAY 1v2 saw Fire5 close it at 16-11. It was A10N3BOY who was the heavy-hitter for Fire5 with 25 kills.
