IEM Sydney 2023 groups revealed

The first Tier-1 Counter-Strike 2 event, which is IEM Sydney 2023, has revealed the Groups and the first round of games. Natus Vincere kicks off the tournament against Apeks while ESL Pro League Season 18 champions MOUZ start against Vertex.

Group A sees the likes of Vitality, Natus Vincere, FaZe Clan, MOUZ, GamerLegion and Vertex amongst others while Grayhound, Fnatic, ENCE, Monte, Complexity and G2 headline Group B.

The first round of games are scheduled between October 16 - October 18, 2023 and will be BO1s in the new CS2 MR12 format, switching from the MR15 which was followed in CS:GO

The 12 team event has a $100,000 first place prize and a spot in IEM Katowice 2024. The Sydney LAN event will also see the transition to CS2 as the Counter-Strike moves onto its next chapter.
