Rise of Legion Kolkata - Quarter-finals Day 1: Recap

The Esports Club's first CS2 event, the Rise of Legion Kolkata's quarter-finals day 1 action saw 2 live-streamed games as the teams were all set to battle it out for the INR 2,00,000 prize pool.

Hari Om Esports vs Team NPC

Mirage was the playground of the first quarter-final as Hari Om started off with a T sided pistol win. Once NPC brought out the guns post the pistol round conversions, it was SpawN leading from the front that saw NPC take a 8-4 lead.

NPC started with the second half pistol but Hari Om made sure NPC weren't taking an easy win as they went on to tie up the game at 11-11. Hari Om eventually managed to take it to overtime but it was NPC who held on in overtime to take the map at 19-17.

Mystic Gaming vs Xtreme 5

The second quarter-final between Mystic Gaming and Xtreme 5 got underway on Overpass. It was a 7-0 start from Mystic on the CT side before Xtreme 5 got their first T round. It was all Mystic Gaming though as they ran away with a 10-2 lead.

Xtreme picked up the second pistol but Mystic replied with a force buy which helped them wrap up the game at 13-5 with Em0 closing the game with a 1v3 on a Tec-9.

With the first two semi-finalists secured, the final two quarter-finals will take place tomorrow. The semi-finals and final will be part of the LAN event, which will be held in Kolkata on October 29, 2023.
