ELV1S: "Marcos have been playing the same style since Sky"

As the second semi-final between Revenant and FIredup Gaming comes to a conclusion with Revenant emerging as the victors, we talked to ELV1S post match about their performance so far in the tournament.

We finally saw you guys get hyped up during the matches. Do you think that element was missing against Marcos earlier?

We struggled to find our groove in the beginning. We couldn't play to our comfort and it affected us. And in the second game it became even more evident how much it affected us. So we went back to the drawing board, talked about things. Hyped each other up. Told each other that let's play our own game, teh way we used to play from our homes. And we have reflected that yesterday and today, Hopefully we can continue the same momentum and defeat Marcos.

In the first half of Anubis on your CT side, did you feel like you gave them too many rounds?

Yeah, infact on both maps, Mirage and Anubis. The games should have ended 13-4, 13-5. We lost both the pistols on both the maps. It helps the other team to build some momentum, and that is why they got too many rounds.

How do you think you will do against Marcos in the final?

They have been playing the same style since Sky. I think we have enough experience to counter it. They are also a very good team, and very good players. Even the two new additions are very good. But I believe in my team and I think we can pull through.

The Final of the DreamHack Hyderabad is slated to start at 17:00 IST and will see Revenant go up against Marcos.
