Marcos Gaming lift DreamHack Hyderabad trophy
Two top teams from Group A of the DreamHack Hyderabad 2023 made their way into the Grand Finals, as Marcos Gaming and Revenant Esports were fighting it out not only the INR 5 lakh prize-pool but also their first ever CS2 silverware.
Marcos' pick of Inferno got the action going as Revenant started with the CT sided pistol win before Marcos answered with a force-buy to tie up the score early on. Revenant held the early advantage but after a small tech-pause, Marcos took the momentum which saw them finish with an 8-4 lead.
Revenant picked up the second pistol as well but Marcos once again answered with the force and Inferno went Marcos' way soon after at 13-5.
Marcos started Revenant's pick of Mirage with a CT sided pistol win but Revenant answered back through a f1redup 1v2 in the post plant on A site.
The two teams battled for control in the early stages of the match, with Marcos Gaming taking a 5-2 lead thanks to Mcg1LLzZz and DEFEALTER, but a deagle round win gave Revenant the fuel to pick up 4 in the half. Still Marcos walked away with a solid 8-4 half.
Revenant started off the second half with a pistol round win, and brought out M4s in the second round to lock in a win over the Marcos force. That was the momentum Revenant lacked in the first half as they now tied the match up at 8-8. With f1redup lighting the server on fire, Revenant took the lead.
A successful Zeus attempt and Rossi’s Glock double was the highlight of Round 21 as Marcos barely maintained a lead going into the final rounds of the half. And Marcos quickly shut down Revenant Esports to lock in the trophy at DreamHack Hyderabad.
