Marcos Gaming survives major scare

The Esportz Premier Series 2023 Qualifier 2 continued with three games scheduled to place on the third day of the second qualifier, as the teams looked to book their spot in the LAN finals.

Marcos Gaming vs Team Cohesion

The opening game's action got underway on Inferno with Marcos starting on the T side. DEFAULTER and Rossi's aggressive T side saw Marcos start with a 8-4 lead. Marcos got the second pistol as well with DEFAULTER coming in with a triple and Marcos converted against the eco and force. It looked like Marcos would secure it easily in regulation but Cohesion pushed Marcos all the way to overtime, coming in with a strong T side of their own.

After fending off multiple match points, Marcos Gaming finally managed to close it out in fourth overtime at 25-23. It was Rossi and Gh0sTTTT on top of the scoreboard for Marcos with 43 and 39 kills respectively.

ROG Academy vs Team Direct Gharpe

The final game of the day saw ROG Academy go up against Team Direct Gharpe. It was an even first half at 6-6. ROG Academy went on to put up a strong T side, which helped them take Mirage at 13-8 and deny Team Direct Gharpe any chance of making it a close game. SeeK and vrenyy had a strong game for ROG which helped them close it out quick.

Enigma Gaming was scheduled to take on Team M5 in the second game of the day but due to unavailability of the teams, the match has been rescheduled to a later date.
