Skyesports Masters 2024 Europe Closed Qualifier Semi-finals: Preview

Final four teams in action today

After four days of action in the Skyesports Masters 2024 Europe Closed Qualifier, we move to the final four stages with only four teams left who are vying for one spot in the main event. We have both the semi-finals taking place today with BetBoom going up against fnatic while VP. Prodigy faces FORZE.

BetBoom vs fnatic - 16:30 IST

The first semi-final has two teams who had booked their spot to the quarter-final directly based on seeding and BetBoom took on B8 in their quarter-final game. BetBoom were 0-1 down against B8 on the opening map before almost dropping a 9-3 lead on Mirage before closing it out. Eventually on the decider on Ancient, it was a dominant 13-2 win which saw BetBoom finish the reverse-sweep to book their spot in the semi-final.

Like BetBoom, fnatic also started their quarter-final BO3 going 0-1 down before two convincing wins on Ancient and Vertigo saw them move into the final four. Both teams had a far from ideal quarter-final appearance and will be looking to put in more clinical performance in the semi-final today.

VP. Prodigy vs FORZE 19:00 IST

VP. Prodigy, who replace Pera Esports in the Europe Closed Qualifier took on TSM in their opening round game, before facing Guild Eagles in the quarter-finals. It was clinical and clean from VP. Prodigy in the quarters, picking up a solid 2-0 to move into the semi-final.

On the other hand, there is FORZE who had to battle through NAVI Junior before facing the Danes in Preasy. Like their semi-final opponents, FORZE also were quite convincing in the quarter-finals and come into the semi-final on the back of a strong wins.

Both teams have been in good form but with the experience, FORZE should be wrapping the second semi-final.
