Not the ideal start for TYLOO and Lynn Vision
The second set of games on the opening day of IEM Chengdu 2024 saw the home teams in action as Lynn Vision faced FURIA while TYLOO took on MOUZ in the other BO1.
After a 4-0 start on their CT side, FURIA let Lynn Vision take a round with a Tec-9 A rush. Lynn Vision went on to tie up the game at 5-5 but FURIA managed to hold on for a two round lead. Lynn Vision were threatening a comeback but it was an arT quad-kill that powered FURIA to a 13-9 win.

After a lengthy tech-delay, MOUZ kicked off Overpass with the CT-sided pistol and quickly went 3-0 before a multi-kill round from JamYoung saw TYLOO get going. MOUZ ended the opening half with a two-round lead and a full house from Jimpphat and siuhy saw MOUZ extend their lead after securing the second pistol as well. TYLOO got the game close and went on to tie the score at 10-10, going on a four-round streak but a Jimpphat double opener on an upgraded pistol buy got MOUZ back in the game and it was the young star Jimpphat pulling MOUZ across at 13-11 with the Finn ending with 25 kills.
