reV3nnnn remains an option for Skyesports Masters 2024
In a recently shared Instagram story, Gods Reign's reV3nnnnn stated that while the rest of the team is in Jordan for the Skyesports Masters 2024 and he remains in India as he could not travel due to passport issue, reV3nnnn might still play for Gods Reign should the team not be able to finalise a substitute.
Following Dust2 India's report yesterday about reV3nnnn not travelling to Jordan with the rest of the team, reV3nnnn himself confirmed that he will be missing out on the event. Since that development, the Gods Reign roster has flown off to Jordan but it still looks like they have not been able to confirm a fifth player.
In the story, reV3nnnn speaks about how due to his passport issue he is not able to travel with the team but if Gods Reign can't confirm a substitute for reV3nnnn in time, he will play for Gods Reign from India. He also shares that he believes Gods Reign has a chance against Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP) given that NIP have a relatively new roster.
Former Marcos Gaming player ELV1S and Dutch player yoom were two potential options for the Indian team but it looks like Gods Reign still haven't been able to confirm a fifth. Should reV3nnnn play the event from India, the Indian AWPer is bound to play with high ping given the locational disadvantage and it remains to be seen how much of a disadvantage that will be for him.
Gods Reign are the Indian representatives in the $350,000 online tournament after having qualified through the Indian Closed Qualifier. The event was initially set to be a LAN in Mumbai, India but Skyesports had to move it to an online event due to not being able to finalise a location. With the event moving online, Gods Reign were supposed to be flown to Serbia by Skyesports. Dust2 India has learnt that Gods Reign will be playing from Jordan after not being able to make it to Serbia. Skyesports though haven't made an official announcement on the matter, even though Gods Reign have reached Jordan.
