G2 respond to "F***ing bots man" in style
The lower bracket final of IEM Chengdu 2024 kicked off between G2 and Heroic from Group A. G2 kicked off their CT campaign in a back and forth affair as they trailed behind 2-4. However, nexa put up impact frags towards the end of the half, putting G2 back on a 7-5 lead.
While Heroic kicked off the second half by sequencing 4 round wins, G2 rode on the back of multi-kills from m0NESY, getting over the finish line with a 13-10 scoreline.
The second map Nuke saw G2 carry over their strong T-side from Ancient, as they established a 7-1 lead. However, didn't take any longer for Heroic to wake up, as they brought back the deficit to 7-5 at the end of the first half.
While the score narrowed down, as a lot of T-side resistance was presented by Heroic, G2 crushed ultimately their dreams, sealing the map with a 16-13 win, silencing NertZ, who, after winning a crucial clutch against the Kovacs, shouted, "F***ing bots, man."
