NESC 2024 Day 1 Recap

As the curtains close on the first day of NESC 2024, we now have the results from the Winners Bracket Opening matches.

In the double-elimination format that took place, we had ROG Academy go up against Wasted Potential, Carnival Gaming face off against Grayfox Esports and STREAK lock horns with Griffin.

In the three games that took place, Griffin breezed past STREAK, dropping just a single map to take a comfortable 13-1 win. ROG and Wasted Potential were involved in a back-and-forth affair which went down to the wire with ROG stealing a 13-11 win while Grayfox Esports and Carnival Gaming also had a close game which saw SpawN and co. secure the win in overtime at 16-14.

The action continues tomorrow with India's #1 team Gods Reign kicking off their campaign against Griffin while True Rippers and Marcos Gaming will also be seen in action later on in the day.
