True Rippers goes down in the final of M88 Open League
In the Grand Final of the M88 Open League, True Rippers faced AngryB1RDS in the double BO3 encounter.
The Grand Final was a double elimination grand final which had a 'Bracket-Reset' final. This means that if the team playing from the Losers/Lower Bracket beats the otherwise undefeated team, the Grand Finals will reset and the series will be played again.
The series kicked off an Ancient which saw DayMake and DEFAULTER power up to lead True Rippers to a 13-6 win to get things underway. AngryB1RDS answered back on Mirage with 13-8 win to tie the series.On the decider, DayMake and rossi were leading from the front on Ancient which saw True Rippers net a 13-7 win, to win the first BO3 and force a second one according to the format.
The second round of BO3s kicked off Ancient which True Rippers locked in with a 13-8 win. A close affair on Mirage saw AngryB1RDS pick up a crucial 13-10 win before they ran over True Rippers on Anubis at 13-6 to lock in a 2-1 series win to win the title.
