Mixed reactions as teams land in India for Skyesports Championship 2024

Tournament gets underway in less than 24 hours

With Skyesports Championship 2024 set to get underway from July 23, 2024, the teams participating for the $300,000 event have reached Mumbai and the initial reactions from some of the players about their setups have been unsatisfactory.

Skyesports revealed that the event will be a 'semi-LAN' with the Group taking place at the Taj Lands End itself, as the teams would play remotely from the practice rooms assigned to them while the Playoffs would be held in a stage area at the hotel, which would be a LAN.

BLEED's coach kassad put out a statement about his initial reactions stating that the hotel, hospitality and internet are as good as Tier1 events. He also stated that they were yet to check the setup and PCs at the time.

While kassad's was a positive reaction, BetBoom's Magnojez shared a video from their practice room where he highlights damaged tables along with non-activated Windows PCs and other issues.

Further images about the state of the tables provided to the teams was also highlighted along with details about the systems and monitors provided to the players.

Skyesports had shared images earlier in the day on their social media handles, as the teams reached the hotel for the event, with Indian organisation Revenant having their European roster reach their organisation's homeland for the first-time.
