Lynn Vision fall to Chinggis Warriors
It was home team Lynn Vision looking to make it to the Grand Final of the XSE Pro League 2024 and Mongolian team Chinggis Warriors was in their way.
Chinggis Warriors got off to a solid start on the T-side of Dust2 with fury5k and Zilkenberg catching defenders off guard round after round to open up sites. Seven rounds into the game Lynn Vision secured their first round at 1-7, conceding a massive 3-9 disadvantage in the first half.
Pistol and anti-eco conversions looked promising to set Lynn Vision up for a comeback attempt but once the gun rounds began Chinggis Warriors regained momentum to close things out 13-6, going 1-0 up in the semi-final. fury5k dropped 22 frags on Dust2 with an ADR of 113.
Lynn Vision were going into Chinggis Warriors' map pick, Anubis with their backs against elimination but the Chinese flummoxed them with a colossal 10-2 CT-half on a map known for it's T-sidedness. A clean T-side saw Chinggis Warriors close out Anubis 13-2 to push the series into the decider. An evident difference in individual performances saw no one from Chinggis Warriors cross double figures.
A 4-1 start on the CT-side of Nuke from Chinggis Warriors threw Lynn Vision off their game. They struggled to take map control throughout their T-half, giving away a 9-3 lead to the Mongolians. Lynn Vision started strong in the second half and with just 3 rounds needed to nullify Chinggis Warriors' lead, they fumbled. Stringing up 3 rounds in a row, Chinggis Warriors closed out Nuke 13-7 and the series 2-1, eliminating Lynn Vision in the semi-final of the XSE Pro League 2024.
