GR one win away from Asia RMR
The upper bracket final of the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 East Asia RMR Closed Qualifier had GR taking on Mongolian team Chinggis Warriors in a BO1 encounter.
Taking place on Ancient, it was a back-and-forth affair as neither team gave the other an inch. Chinggis Warriors looked to be finding some momentum on their CT half but GR closed out the opening half with a crucial couple of late rounds which saw a 6-6 half to kick things off.
While it was the same story in the second half, it was GR closing things out with four consecutive CT rounds, which helped them run away with a 13-11 win. It was 7nation starring for GR, with 23 kills.
GR now have locked themselves a spot in the Grand Final while Chinggis Warriors drops to the Consolidation Final. Chinggis will await the winner of the lower bracket final between ATOX and -72c to know whom they will face.
