Rare Atom cements RMR spot over TYLOO

Rare Atom qualifies for Asia RMR

With the RMR spot on the line, TYLOO and Rare Atom, the final standing teams in the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 China RMR Closed Qualifier, went toe to toe against each other in the Grand Final.

Kicking off the proceedings on their map pick Mirage, TYLOO got off to a hot start, converting 9 out of the first 10 rounds on their T-side. Jee topped the charts with 18 kills, as TYLOO went 1-0 up in the series by a 13-5 margin.

However, on the second map Inferno, Rare Atom returned the favour in full, establishing a 10-2 lead on their T-side. It was Summer's chance in the spotlight, who boasted a 1.42 as Rare Atom secured their map pick with a 13-7 win.

The decider Anubis turned into a one-sided affair right from the get-go, as Rare Atom wrecked havoc on their T-side, conceding only 3 rounds in the first half. Despite best efforts from TYLOO's on their T-side, Rare Atom closed out the game by a 13-6 margin.

By locking in the series 2-1, Rare Atom books their place in the Asia RMR and are the fifth team to confirm their spot, being the second team from the closed qualifiers, after TALON, who qualified earlier in the day.
